After stylist Kingsley Osuji had spent several months living and traveling in South America, he wanted to create an editorial with styling based on objects found in nature. All of the styling and compositions are based on flora and fauna he encountered in Brazil. Influences included flowers, sea life, and environments. Kingsley and photographer Drake Alexander have previously collaborated on several editorials over the past few years and came together again in New York City with the rest of the team to fulfill the vision. Hair, makeup, posing, and lighting elements were all utilized to evoke the unity, fluidity and unpredictability of nature.

Surface touching is just the result of the energy flow of an impulse in the cerebral cortex, with the knowledge of the soul standing behind that impulse.

Each human being is an avatar, a vessel for DNA. Each touch of paint is a projection of knowledge living in flesh and soul.“

The water is motionless, the secrets in its darkest depths, hidden under a smooth surface. For most of us, at most times, the turbulent unconscious remains hidden under a placid layer of consciousness. The High Priestess has an ability to move between these realms effortlessly.
She shows us that the world is not always as it seems.

Day by day we hear the same words – we live in the dark times. But what is darkness for us? Is it just the time of uncertainty? Is it a time of frightening future? Or the times of evil which is circulating on the streets and entering every building? Or is it a chaos?
These questions remain unsolved, but it feels that before thinking how darkness could affect you, first thing to consider is the darkness which is coming outside from individuals. The darkest times are created by people, by their inner demons. The key is in balance – world without darkness, sadness and nightmares doesn’t make any sense.

What are the wonders today? In the world full of despair and agony, when everything was twisted back and forth, the clue of finding the wonders became blurry. Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, which tend to be something frightening and anxious. However, there is not only the darkness, which make us trembling. There is a darkness of secrets, darkness of lovers and darkness which protects unseen. The wonders are just small candles, but we know, that all new wonders could start in the dark.
