Metalhead exclusive fashion story shot by fashion photographer Greg Mikrut. Creative direction and styling by Serafin Zielinski

New exclusive project by fashion photographer Antonio Velez is inspired by the New Wave subculture of the 80s. The nostalgia for the rebellious spirit and unique aesthetics of the 80s New Wave movement serves as a creative catalyst, propelling us to envision how a contemporary kid would reinterpret and embrace this cultural legacy.

Fascination lies not only in the fashion itself but in the profound expression of individuality by those who courageously defy conventional norms and boldly color outside the lines.

The team aims to capture the essence of this bold self-expression, exploring how today’s youth push boundaries and redefine fashion narratives, drawing inspiration from the fearless pioneers of the past while forging their own path forward.

In essence, the project becomes a visual and conceptual journey, seamlessly blending the rebellious energy of this time period, with the audacious spirit of today’s youth, celebrating the timeless allure of self-expression through style.

Raphael Molina is a photographer and printer from Los Angeles, and mainly works with analogue mediums. Inspired by renaissance Dutch painters Raphael is drawn by smokey deep colors and ethereal softness. His aim is to capture his subject’s essence in a deep conversation between subject and photographer. His dark room prints require a meticulous and unconventional process, so every print is made differently with a unique feature in mind. This collection of photos is the idea of being with his subject from sunrise well into the night. From the beautiful cliffs of Palos Verdes to the intimate setting of the subject’s home and the darkness of night.

An Imaginary Poem” is a thought-provoking editorial. Three models take center stage, intertwining sensuality with their own nature. Shot entirely on an analog camera, the dark and grainy aesthetic enhances its mystique. Through their gestures, they challenge societal norms and redefine masculinity, showcasing vulnerability and tenderness. This editorial embraces the rawness of the human form while evoking a poetic narrative that celebrates the harmonious coexistence of sensuality and nature.

Humans are social animals whose life is based on interaction. During the last years we have all experienced the struggle to be connected and present with one another. „Waiting room“ explores the sense of an awkward “wait” that happens in a suspended space and time. Boredom, hope, innocence and loneliness become the main characters of our lives.

We are not always honest with ourselves and other people about who we really are, deeply inside. Only remaining alone with ourselves and letting the imagination flow we can come close to understanding our true nature and find something new and sparkling hidden in our souls. Story by Irina Buyatyan

Starting from the deep connection this music has with society, we describe a deep sensible generation, affected by all this era changes, the lack of real communication and the isolation that could come from it. We all feel sometimes a black sheep in a huge world of contradictions.
